This year I will be participating (
again) in the
jp to me... 2010 show. They've put a different spin on the Jamaica Plain theme- five emeralds, forty artists, infinite jewels. The "emeralds" refers to the parks making up the
Emerald Necklace, a historic park system in Boston designed by
Frederick Law Olmstead (aka the "founder of landscape architecture"). Each of the forty participating artists was assigned a "jewel" in JP to capture/express in their work.
I got
Forest Hills which I talked about in a few
posts back in the fall. A gorgeous spot on a bright, lovely day; I easily found inspiration while I was there. I will be working on my piece for the show this week and will keep you posted on how it turns out.
Have a great weekend!

Forest Hills Cemetery is the reason we live here. Lucky draw for you! I will be excited to see the results.
